In response to the ongoing Covid19 situation, Reading Borough Council, from whom we hire our venues, has decided to close all of its buildings until further notice. Alas, this means that we suddenly find ourselves unable to offer our usual face-to-face counselling sessions. Our counsellors are currently in the process of contacting each of their clients, with a view to discussing other means of moving forward (e.g. holding sessions over the phone), but we appreciate that these alternative arrangements may not be ideal for everyone.
If you are an existing client and have questions about how your counselling may move forward under these new circumstances, by all means do get in touch with your counsellor at a time that is convenient for you; but rest assured that they will contact you themselves in due course.
If you are visiting this website for the first time and are looking to receive counselling, feel free to enquire as usual (see our 'Contact Us' page for details); just please be aware that at this time we are only in a position to offer remote (i.e. phone- or online-) counselling.
We will of course keep you updated as soon as we receive any new information.
In the meantime, please continue to follow healthcare advice and keep yourselves and your loved ones as clean and safe as possible. This is an unnerving time for all of us, but just remember that you are not alone in this crisis, and that these trying times will come to an end when they're ready. If you need support (including with anxiety about this time of unrest), Reading Counsellors C.I.C. remains open for business.
